Playing LT, winning the conference championship on a pass to the back of the endzone on the past play of the game. Was like an 8 play hurry drive with no timeouts...just go go go... I remember that because my man got out of his stance and just stood there breathing heavy

Highschool senior-
Getting the game winning sack against a QB that went on to be a Gold medel olympian. It was the only time our coach sent me on a blitz all game and it worked......good call coach!

running out the big garage door in the UNI Dome for the first time I get chills thinking about that every time (not the tackle but coming out the door in front of a packed house) Same here, except to play in the first state championship game my HS had made it to. The anticipation for the door to rise, then the reaction from the crowd are amazing. I'm sure it was even louder for a Panther game!

1.) Throwing the game-winning touchdown with the clock running out aganist our old-time rivals as a senior in HS.
2.) My first start at QB in college.
3.) Bit of a story here: My first year in college our defense would always try to take cheap shots on the QBs in practice and the worst guy about it was our starting free safety. So one spring scrimmage the QBs were live and we were driving on their side of the field. We call a reverse and it was designed with the QB picking up the #2 defender to the playside. Even before the snap I knew our Free would be running the alley (#1 was a released DE blocked by our TE peeling back) so I made sure to get out of his line of sight. He comes down hard and I earholed him. His feet came off the ground and over his head, everyone on the offense erupted, the film session was a classic. He never took another cheap shot.

Lots of memories but here goes 2. 1. 1st time playing organized youth football. 1st carry of my short football carrier. I bust through the line, break outside, head up the sideline with a wall of blockers and...... .....I fumble the ball w/o being touched! Fortunately my cousin recovered the fumble. 2. My senior and final year of football. We were playing a team from out of town. They get the ball first and score on the first play. We get the ball and drive the field and score. Their second possession 2nd play TOUCHDOWN..... Now we're thinking its going to be along night. Our second possession, We attempt a throwback pass on the KO return that ended with us starting on our on 6 yardline. 1st play I get crushed by what seemed like the entire left side of their defense for a 1 yard loss. HC calls the exact same play, to the exact same side. I get the ball hit a wide open hole cut it outside past the OLB who reaches out and grabs my face mask. I pulled loose, and continue outside with my helmet on sideways. ;D I straighten out my helmet and there is nothing in front of me but green. I scored a 95 yard touchdown, the longest of my short career. The half time score of that game 28 to 28. The scoring slowed down in the second half and we finally won on a last second field goal.

2nd - Kicking a game winning FG in triple OT to put the team in the playoffs for the second consecutive year and only the 3rd time in school history. That's gotta be awesome.... That's really interesting, because him and Wes Welker have always been my favorite players. Was/Is he as really quiet and shy as the media says? For the most part, he came out of his shell a little around junior year, but he's always been very to himself. He was never the one to take credit for anything, he was always very humble, even with as much as he accomplished. He's still the best athlete I've ever seen play, god only knows what's going to come of this gun charge.

My first game I played my sr year. I got into a car wreck the day before school and was told i'd never play again. I ended up playing in weak 5. I remember crying like a baby after the game because I was so happy that I got to play again because of Gods Will. Also Two int's against Tascosa High School. We beat them to get into the playoffs. I remember after the game gathering the team and telling them how we were about to go beat the crap out of Midland Lee the 3 time defending state champs....We lost by 30 to Lee... I had a 104 int return though.

i can't think of my "best" memory right now, but i can remember my first play ever in organized football...
i was a 7th grader playing on the 8th grade team (small school so there were a few of us playing on the 8th grade to make teams a little more even - not that i was some hoss in junior high..lol). first game of the season and we were receiving the opening kickoff. i was the left return man - nervous as heck. ball went to the right return man and he took it all the way for a TD. i "bumped" someone - wouldn't call it blocking - as we were on other side of field. i remember thinking, "man, this game is easy" ... haha

Freshman year 0-9-1 none of us eggheads which the dirt bags called us ever played. Sophomore year 3-7 eggheads start to play because dirtbags can't make grades or would rather party. Junior year 5-4-1 two of the eggheads make all league. Senior year 12-2 the eight eggheads are all all-league, 13th in the state of Ca. and beat Grant HS for City championship. Best memory by far the time we spent together proving everybody wrong. All 8 became fathers, professionals and making a positive difference.
