I am looking for a list of things that a booster club can do to raise money. This list should be for the club members and not for the team. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Golf Tournament works well-make sure you get alot of hole sponsors (tough to do in todays economy), and here in NC we make good money smoking bar-b-q shoulders, butts, and ribs on the Fridays before Thanksgiving and Easter.

It seems like we are constantly fundraising. The things that we do that have little or no work from the players are: 1) Golf tournament - most of the money raised doesn't come from the golf, but from raffle tickets for donated prizes and a silent auction for donated items/services. 2) We have several restaurants that allow groups to do "Team Days" or Team Nights" where 15% of the sales go to your organization - just publicize the event to everyone in your program to get them to show up.

In the past, we had what we called a "Kickoff Dinner". We secured a large facility, had the boosters decorate the place with a football flavor, and a local restaurant would donate pasta dinner for all. Had the players work it wearing their jerseys and we had a guest speaker along with a raffle with donated prizes.
We had this before the season started and sold tickets for $20-$25 and it worked out really well.

I third the golf tournament idea. You can also station people on different holes where the players can buy a 300 yard drive, for example. Or sell mulligans. Get creative with other ways to get money - most of the registration goes to the greens fees. To win our tournament, you usually have to shoot around 20 under!
Another idea I have had but never executed is a Wii Bowling tournament. Similar idea to Madden tournaments, but ANYONE can play Wii Bowling - kids, parents, grandparents. Very simple to play and the games are quick. You could set up four Wii stations in your gym and have a tournament. Very little overhead - you can find four Wii stations. Get lane sponsors. I have always thought it would be fun to do.
